Vanessa Walsh, age 48, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away at Ohio Hospice of Dayton on February 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on August 01, 1976, in Auburn, WA, and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves in psychological operations, as well as the United States Air Force Reserves in security forces (Phoenix Raven- special forces). She proudly served in operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom.
She also got her associate's degree in criminal justice, and her bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She was a thrill seeker, enjoying various activities such as skydiving, motorcycling, dirt biking, and traveling.
Vanessa is preceded in death by her husband, Brian Walsh.
She is survived by her three children, whom she loved fiercely, Kira Jean Gilbert (Brendan Rosgen), Zachary McNally Walsh, and Elena Brian Walsh; her granddaughter who is due in July; brother-in-law, Patrick Walsh; and nephew, Conner Walsh.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to C.O.P.S., Metavivor, and Ohio Hospice of Dayton.
A visitation for Vanessa will be held at Be Hope Church (N. Fairfield Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432) on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm with a funeral service at 4:00pm.
