William "Bill" L. Lehn

Age 81, born in Spring Valley, IL, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013. Bill was married to Joan (Schur) for nearly 59 years, and they were blessed with four children, Karen (Rod) Harris, Michael, Andrea (Jim) Long, Linda (Brian) Burstein), and nine grandchildren, Karlyn, Mackenzie, Jason, Chris, Josh, Ben, Ashley, Tyler, and Matthew. He is survived by his sister, Carol Escorcia, and brother, Lloyd Lehn, and three nephews and a niece. Bill received his PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Rochester in 1958. In 1960 he began his rewarding career working at W.P.A.F.B. in the Materials Lab until his retirement in 1990. In his retirement, he was able to work fulltime at his passion for radio control modeling. He was involved with educating young people in related modeling activities at Christ Methodist Church. A perpetual joy to him was watching the birds, butterflies, and squirrels outside the bay window of their home. Family to receive friends 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where memorial service will be held 6:30PM Thursday.
