.Bobbie Jean Sparks Jackson, 84, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016. A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers John Kilpatrick ( Nephew ) , Richie Thompson, and Steve Caudle officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bobbie Jean Sparks Jackson was born on August 4, 1932. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She worked at LaPetite Academy for 15 years.
Preceded in death by: Her father: Grover Durell Sparks, Mother: Leslie Julia Robertson Sparks, Sister: Myrtle Ovenia Sparks Short, and her Sister: Ellaree Sparks Denney.
Survived by: Her husband of 57 yrs. Veazey Leslie Jackson, Son: Timothy Leslie Jackson, Granddaughter: Victoria Faith Jackson, and several Nieces & Nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Thigpen, Odean Hayes, Eugene Glenn, Ralph Terry, Doug Alexander, and Johnny Appleton.
