Carolyn E. Cagle

Carolyn E. Cagle, of Decatur, passed away January 10, 2017, at the age of 81. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Long; sister, Linda Gosline; brother, Jimmy Long; and great-granddaughter, Jasmine Oliver. She is survived her daughters, Debbie Schrimsher, Pam Locke Beth Redman, and Dee Jackson; brothers, Mike Long and Frank Long; sisters, Kay Ramsey and Sandra McCarthy; grandchildren, Wendy Bailey, Candy Hill, Marsha Neeley, Nick Hill, Jessica Reeves, Amber Miller, Jade Oliver, Jacob Louis, and Joel Britnell; step-grandchild, Michelle Reeves; great-grandchildren, Alex Ritterbush, Isaac Ritterbush, Cody Neeley, Tyley Neeley, Logan Dyes, Hannah Dyes, Gavin Miller, Ashley Christopher, Aubrey Oliver, Olivia Christopher, Eli Reeves, Ariana Gray, and Henley Britnell; great-great-grandchildren, Henley Britnell and Ari Britnell.

Mrs. Cagle attended Decatur High School and Calhoun Community College. She worked for Decatur General both as a secretary and in the medical records department. She enjoyed spending her time painting and doing arts and crafts. She loved to travel, see waterfalls, and take pictures of mountains, sunsets, and flowers.
