Charles Adams, 89, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Decatur First United Methodist Church. His memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Alex Beaube officiating.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Susan Travers (Michael); grandson, Payton Travers and his beloved dog, Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Mamie Pike Adams; wife, Sandra Huey Adams and brother, Thomas Adams.
Charles graduated from Phillips High School and later from Auburn University. He worked as a Human Resource Manager for Champion International Paper Mill in Courtland, AL. Charles was a member of Decatur First United Methodist Church, where he served on several committees. He had a great love for Decatur First United Methodist Church. He also very much enjoyed the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Charles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Decatur First United Methodist Church.
