Charlie Hammond “Buddy” Freeman, Jr. of Decatur passed away, February 14, 2022. Visitation for Buddy will be held on Friday, February 18 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 12-2 PM with a Celebration of Life Graveside service to follow at Roselawn Cemetery at 2 PM with Bro. Lynn Morgan officiating.
Charlie “Buddy” Freeman is survived by his wife Gail Freeman, daughter Misty (Jason) Morgan, son Eddie Freeman and Michael Bloomquist, granddaughters, and 1 grandson Tesla (Tommy) Owens, Riley Morgan, Yngwie Ray, Crimson Ray, Dawson Terry, Jesse Lynn Morgan.
He is preceded in death by his mother Jewel Oden, his step father Edward ”Plowboy” Oden, his father Charlie Hammond Freeman, his granddaughter Trinity Winter Ray.
Charlie Freeman was born on October 3, 1947 in Morgan County to Charlie Hammond Freeman, Sr & Jewel Elizabeth Oden. He married his wife of 51 years Gail Dudley Freeman on January 11, 1971. They had two children son Charles “Eddie” Freeman on February 3, 1974 and daughter Misty Dawn Morgan on October 3, 1979.
Those serving as pail bears will be Jason Morgan, Riley Morgan, Tesla Owens, Tommy Owens, Lynn Morgan, and John Champion.
