Frances Louise Osborne, 92, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Her visitation will be on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jamin Grubbs officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Claude E. McRight and Hazel Elizabeth Robertson; siblings, Davis McRight (Ruthie), Lorene Smith (Guy), Kathleen Slaten (James), Doris Terry (Elba), Christine Cagle (Elvege), and brother in law, Ray Mitchell.
She is survived by her children, Shelia Free (Doug), Letha Nix, and Todd Osborne (Audra); 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister, Lucy Mitchell, and many loved friends.
Frances was a 1953 graduate of Austinville High School and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She worked for GE and Parisians as a seamstress. Frances loved to read, Alabama Football, water aerobics, traveling, and playing cards. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama c/o BrightSpring.
