Frances Hodges Sittason

Decatur, AL

Frances H. Sittason passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Decatur at the age of 90. Mrs. Sittason was a native of Decatur, Alabama and a life-long member of Grant Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Davis and Ruby Hodges, husband, William R. Sittason, brother, Jackson Hodges, three sisters, Sarah Hodges, Hazel Hamilton and Genie Ozier.

Mrs. Sittason is survived by her son, Charles R. Sittason (Julie) of Tuscaloosa, daughters, Beverly J. Summerford (Jimmy) of Hartselle and Becky Sittason of Tuscaloosa; sister, Beverly Fite (James R.) of Decatur; four grandchildren, Traci Watts (Scott) of Brentwood, TN, Randy Summerford (Mary) of Hartselle, Will Summerford (Tara) of Hartselle and Megan Summerford of Atlanta, GA; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00pm at Grant Street Church of Christ with Alan Watkins and Phillips Hines officiating. A time of visitation will be from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at the church with burial at Decatur City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Grant Street Church of Christ or Central Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa.
