Funeral for Gerald "Jerry" Turner, 59, of Hartselle will be Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Campbell officiating. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner, who died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at his residence, was born September 25, 1953, in Alabama to Malcolm Lee Turner and Mary Vassar Turner. He graduated from Jefferston State Mortuary School with an associates degree in funeral service education and was a licensed embalmer and funeral director. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Lee Turner.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Turner of Phoenix, Ariz., Whitney Turner Holbert of Danville, Melanie Turner Adcock of Jacksonville, N.C., and Jennifer Turner of Shelbyville, Tenn.; one sister, Cheryl Jefcoat (Doug) of Laurel, Miss.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
