

Cliff is survived by his wife, Nona, his son David (Jamie), daughter Pam, son Jeff (Kristina), daughter Sherri (Andy), brother Tim (Nair), sister Kathy, nine grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Clifford Holmes, Sr. and Alice Holmes, his brother George, and his son Donald, as well as his daughter in law Patrice Holmes, his son-in-law Larry Jenkins.
Cliff grew up moving all over the Eastern US. He loved being in marching band in high school and at the University of Florida. He was also in a US Navy band from 1961 to 1965. After leaving the Navy, he worked as a band director, a preacher, and then spent most of his career in the automotive industry from which he retired. He and Nona were married over 61 years. They were long-time members of Flint church of Christ, where Cliff proudly served as a deacon for many years. He loved God, his family, and music above all else and he was loved by everyone who knew him.
A visitation for Harry (Cliff) will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home, 741 Danville Rd. SW, Decatur, AL 35601. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 pm, with a graveside service immediately following. The services will be officiated by Chris Pressnell.
Pallbearers include Skyler Smith, Andy Gavin, Colton Sandlin, Marcus Morris, Larry Shipley, and Randal Thornton.
