Funeral for Jack Clay Atkinson, 81, of Decatur will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Atkinson, who died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, was born December 31, 1930, in Raymond to James E. and Ida Atkinson. He was a banker and commercial Realtor. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and a member of Decatur Country Club. He was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Neil Atkinson; and sister, Eve Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Judy L. Atkinson; son, Steven Atkinson of Decatur; three daughters, Carol Key (Richard) of Decatur, Tracy Durham of Hartselle and Jill Gonzalez (Richard) of Gulf Shores; six grandchildren, Chris Key (Emily) of Lexington, Ky., Riley Key of Birmingham, Mary Margaret Key of Decatur, Andrew Durham of Alvin, Texas, Allen Durham of Hartselle and Jackson Gonzalez of Gulf Shores; and two great-grandchildren, Colton Key and Kaitlyn Key of Lexington, Ky.

Pallbearers will be Allen Durham, Jackson Gonzalez, Chris Key, Riley Key, David Lucas and Tim Lucas.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Decatur Humane Society.
