Graveside service for James Hugh Dempsey, 59, of Decatur will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Gary Carter officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mr. Dempsey died Saturday, September 25, 2010, at his residence. He was born September 16, 1951, in Decatur to Willard Dempsey and Jeanie Mae Dempsey. His parents, and his brother, Larry Dempsey, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine Dempsey; two sons, James Daniel Dempsey and Shawn Dustin Dempsey; one daughter, Cathryn Jeanice Earwood; five brothers, Frank Dempsey, Bo Dempsey, K.D. Dempsey, Grady Dempsey and Robert Dempsey; two sisters, Donna Head and Charlotte Storie; and three grandchildren, Brianna Dempsey, Devin Demp- sey and Jaxson Earwood.
Pallbearers will be Danny Dempsey, K.D. Dempsey, Grady Dempsey, Bo Dempsey and Lynn Loflin.
