Michael Woods (James Michael Richerson) passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the age of 57. Mike is native of Moulton Heights, AL. He was affectionately known as Swamp Dog. Mike was a loving father and grandfather.
Mike is survived by his mother, Gladys Vandiver; four daughters, Keisha Wiggins, Laura Swopes, Sheneka Wiggins and Maquita Hampton; three sons, Michael Pruitt, Michael Preston, and James Michael Swopes; 19 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; special friend, Kim Powers.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 12:00pm at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Dr. George W. Franklin officiating. A time of visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 7:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mike’s cousins will be the pallbearers.
