She is survived by her husband, Ray Walker; sons, Keith Walker (Joy), Phil Walker, and Craig Walker (Angela); grandchildren, Ethan Walker, Wesley Walker, Madelyn Walker, Lilly Ann Walker, Magen (Andrew) Alexander, and Morgan (Josh) Gaines; great grandchildren, Katie Rae Alexander, Anderson Belle Alexander, Heidi Gaines; goddaughter, Kristi Hatton (Devin) and son, Kinley, and brother, Ray Hall.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth Hall; brothers, Eldred Hall and Bill Hall, and sister, Louise Hall Fretwell.
Jo Ann held many titles throughout her lifetime. She was a caring daughter, sister, niece, friend and cousin. Jo Ann was an attentive wife to her high school sweetheart, and adoring Godmother to a precious young lady. The two titles she cherished the most, however, were Mother and Maw-Maw. She raised three strong, kind, hard-working men that continue to live out the legacy imbedded in them by her intentional example of loving others above yourself. Once her boys were grown, Jo Ann welcomed her daughters-in-law with open arms, and excitedly went from the title of Mother to Maw-Maw when her first grandson was born. From that moment on, she joyfully embraced every new grandchild and great grandchild that joined the family, and devoted herself to loving and nurturing each one. She was a spunky, full-of-life lady that loved her family fiercely and they each will treasure the memories of her until we meet again in Heaven.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Walker, Wesley Walker, Andrew Alexander, and Josh Gaines.
“A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.” Cardinal Meymillod
