

Joshua Driggers passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the age of 31. Joshua started with the Boy Scouts of America while in the first grade and worked his way up to Eagle Scout while in High School. During his youth, he actively participated in the following programs; Hartselle City Youth Baseball League, Hartselle Junior High Concert Band, Hartselle High School track, football and wrestling teams. Joshua was a member of the 2000 Hartselle High School State Championship Wrestling Team. In 2002, he won an Individual State Championship wrestling title in the 160 lb. weight class. Joshua graduated from Hartselle High School in 2002, then attended the University of North Alabama and Calhoun Community College. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL. His hobbies included, camping, fishing, hunting, and the shooting range. Above all, Joshua treasured spending time with his family and friends.
In 2010, Joshua proudly joined the Decatur City Police Department and served the community until his passing. While with the Decatur City Police Department, he was a member of the Honor Guard.
Joshua is survived by his wife, Joy Driggers; daughter, Carter Leann Dara Driggers; son, Joshua McKennon Brice Driggers; mother, Terasa Driggers; father, Steve Driggers; brother, Adam Driggers; grandparents, Marco and Carolyn Shindlebower and Lee Roy Driggers and a very large loving family. Joshua was a proud uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March, 16, 2016 at Central Baptist Church in Decatur, AL at 2:00pm with Bro. Rob Jackson officiating. Joshua will Lie-in-State from 12:30pm until time of service. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, March, 15, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Baptist Church. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Decatur City Police Department, Hospice of the Valley, Central Baptist Church and the community at large. The amount of support and prayers during this time have been uplifting and a true blessing to the family. Roselawn Funeral Home & Cemetery has the honor of serving the family.
