Judy was born on June 16th, 1958 in Albertville, Alabama to Avery Campbell and Ellease Harper Hayes. She was employed by Sexton Can Company of Decatur for many years, then at Wal Mart, Compass Bank, and PNC Bank. She married David Stripling, Sr on November 25th, 1977 and was a loving wife for over 47 years. She was a talented and creative artist, seamstress and craft maker who enjoyed crochet and cross stitching, knitting, drawing and painting, crosswords and games, and making blankets and Christmas decorations for her family. Every day you could find her sewing her next project while watching CSI and true crime shows. She doted over her two sons David and Keith, whom she bragged about at every possible occasion. She was the most loving sister, friend and companion anyone could ever want, and she seemed to have a million friends. She also adored children and went out of her way to make them feel special. She was a bright, intelligent and positive person who never met a stranger, and always made everyone feel welcome, loved, and appreciated. When you mention Judy Stripling to people she knew, their faces light up immediately in reflection of the positive effect she had on them, and they always have so many wonderful stories about how she affected their lives.
