Mrs. Riddle, who died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Vanderbilt Hospital, was born October 26, 1952, in Kentucky to Wayne and Mazie Sims. She was a contractor for MTSI and a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church where she loved her women's group. Lana was a gardener, enjoyed playing tennis, loved antiques and was a Crimson Tide fan. She attended Western Kentucky University.
Survivors include her daughter, Lara Riddle of Tuscaloosa; her parents, Wayne and Mazie Sims of Munfordville, Ky.; and five brothers, Kenneth Sims of Franklin, Ky., Jimmy Sims of Mount Ulla, N.C., Greg Sims of Armonk, N.Y., Jeff Sims of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Rex Sims of Abilene, Texas.
