Marie Owens Foster, age 87, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2026. Born November 29, 1938, in Alabama. A Celebration of Life Service will begin March 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Red Hill Cemetery, with Micah Clark officiating. Mrs. Foster will be laid to rest at Red Hill Cemetery, Lawrence Co., Alabama.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her son, O. Keith Shelton ( Lorelei); daughter, Angie Shelton Nunley; sister, Era Spencer; brother, David Owens; five grandchildren, Ashley Hines Clark (Micah), Stephens Hines (Katy), Kevin Hines, Shay Carpenter Barbee (Chris), Devin Shelton (Lauren); and four great-grandchildren, Isaac Clark, Hannah Hines, Charlie Hines, Lucy Hines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Foster; parents, Clifford and Effie Johnson Owens; four brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Of the Valley.
