Martha Sue Scott passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013. Martha Sue "Susie" was born on September 10, 1932, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Owens. She is survived by her two daughters, Judith and son-in-law, Norden Weingarten from Charlotte, N.C., and Rebecca Scott from Flint, Mich.; two grandchildren, Claire and Mattie Weingarten; sister, Margaret Ann Fair; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime devoted canine companion, Bucky. Susie was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She touched the lives of many, young and old, with her enormously loving heart and kind ways. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Oliver, and brother, Charles Ed Owens.
Visitation will be at Roselawn Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m.
