Funeral for Mary Frances Brooks Harper, 77, of Decatur will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harper, who died Friday, June 4, 2010, after an extended illness, was born March 27, 1933, in Decatur to Thomas Donovan and Mary Hodges Brooks. She attended Decatur High School and graduated from Florence State Teachers College in Business and Athens State College in Secondary Education. She retired from Mutual Savings Life Insurance Company. Her husband, Robert Edwin Harper Jr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Harper and his wife Cindy, Keith Harper, and one daughter, Mary Beth Harper Sweeney and her husband, Chuck.
Pallbearers will be Boyce Wade, David Rahm, Trey Edgil, Stephen Brooks, Douglas Cochran and Elliott Long.
