Mary Emma Weeks

Mary Emma Weeks passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the age of 67. Mary Emma was a native of Etowah, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She strived every day to be a shining light and a Christian example, in which she succeeded. She is preceded in death by her parents, James R. Culberson and Mary Vaughn Culberson; brothers, Henry, Amos, Odell and Ray Culberson and sisters, May Culberson and Ruby Hamm.

Mary Emma is survived by her husband of 27 years, Freddy G. Weeks of Athens, AL; daughter, Kimberly Morgan of Athens, AL; stepson, Kevin Weeks of Tuscumbia, AL; stepdaughters, Melissa Guerra of Cherokee, AL and Katina Lewis of Birmingham, AL; brother, James R. Culberson, Jr. of Douglasville, GA; sister, Ellen Thomas of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Chelsey Campbell of Lester, AL, Cherokee Fenton of Athens, AL, Kenneth Weeks, Ashley Sanderson, Logan and Noah Overton, Mackenzie and Isabella Guerra, Kayla Garza and Aaron Hogeland; great-grandchildren, Raelee, Corder and Jennee May Campbell, Jadston Fenton, Malachi Sanderson, Wesley Weeks and Brantley Hogeland.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00pm at Round Island Baptist Church in Athens, AL with Bro. Mike Green officiating. A time of visitation will be from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the church with burial to follow at Limestone Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
