Decatur, AL
Melinda K. Ashcraft passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 58. Mrs. Ashcraft is a native of Decatur, AL and a lifelong member of the East End United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer for 12 years for the Morgan County Rescue Squad and was a firefighter from 1991-1995 at the Noank, CT Volunteer Fire Department.
Mrs. Ashcraft is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Ashcraft, her parents, Kedrick and Jean Legg of Decatur, AL; sons, Mark Ashcraft of Decatur, AL and Dustin Ashcraft of Athens, AL; daughter, Brittany Ashcraft of Decatur; brother, Brian Legg of Moulton, AL and four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Taylor officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be Thursday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
