Funeral for Ronnie Free, 68, of Decatur will be Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Mike Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Free, who died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at his home, was born July 20, 1943, in Morgan County to Kenneth William Free and Jane Free. He was a self-employed painting contractor until he retired. He enjoyed his motorcycles, playing in his band and was involved in his church. He was a member of Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Free; and brother, Ricky Free.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pearl Free; one son, Dustin H. Free and his wife, Jennifer; his mother, Jane Free; one brother, Mike Free; and one grandchild, Garrett Free.
Pallbearers are Keith Hamilton, Jerry Hogeland, Jerry Beason, Kenneth Throneberry, Rufus Long and Jim Sparks.
