Funeral service for Sarah Frances Whitman "Tootsie" King , 81, of Decatur, will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rob Jackson and Mark Harrison officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. King died on Friday, April 5, 2013, at home. She was born on August 26, 1931, to Robert Roy and Emma Grissom in Alabama. She owned Sarah's Gifts and Antiques.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Jr. King; grandson, Brandon Walker; and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Gary W. King, of Decatur; daughter, Belinda Joanna Dobbs (Gary), of Madison; brother, Marion Lee (Pete) Whitman (Deborah) of Stockbridge, Georgia; grandchildren, Gary Dobbs Jr. and Shanon Dobbs.
Pallbearers will be Ty Calvert, Ronny Lovelady, Steve Whitman, Gary Dobbs Jr., Randy Stark and Curtis Grissom. Honorary pallbearers will be Jean Pace and Ray Nixon.
