
Funeral for Wanda Buckner Salisbury, 76, of Decatur will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Bro. Rob Jackson officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Salisbury, who died Saturday, September 17, 2011, was born August 9, 1935, in Hillsboro, Tenn., to Clay and Rosetta Buckner. She worked as a caregiver in Decatur helping many families. She was an avid gardener and homemaker. She was a loving mother and Nana, and longtime resident of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Buford Buckner and Calvin Buckner; and one sister, Cathy Buckner.
Survivors include two sons, Michael K. Salisbury and John K. Salisbury, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Cynthia S. Mullins of Huntsville; two brothers, Donnie Buckner of Monteagle, Tenn., and Jimmy Buckner of Tullahoma, Tenn.; three sisters, Stella Gillam of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Sandra Williams of Manchester, Tenn., and Nina Cravens of Hillsboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jonmichael Mullins of Huntsville, Clay Mullins of Colorado Springs, Sarah Salisbury, Jessica Salisbury, Emily Salisbury and Jacob Salisbury, all of Huntsville; and two great-grandchildren, Kaya Mullins of Huntsville and Caleb Mullins of Colorado Springs.
Pallbearers will be Jonmichael Mullins, Clay Mullins, Jacob Salisbury, Pete Thompson, Max Evans and Fred Tilley.
