Wayne was born on October 8, 1937 in Limestone County to William Alton and Eleanor Coggin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; his parents, William Alton and Eleanor Coggin; sister, Annie Merle Adams; and brother, Gary Joe Coggin.
Wayne is survived by his stepson, Brian Barnes (Nicole); three step-grandchildren, Quinn, Gavin and Collin Barnes; two sisters, Brenda Stout (Scott) and Carolyn White (Billy); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur, AL with visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, AL.
Pallbearers will be Connor Stiles, Jaelen Cates, Jacob McNairy, Jimmie McNairy, Quinn Barnes and Justin Coggin.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Limestone Rehabilitation Facility for taking such good care of Wayne the past 2 months while he was at their facility.
