Willie Reese Jeffreys Owens, 93, of Decatur was born November 8, 1919, to Vollen and Pearl Jeffreys. She died February 17, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Owens; son, Marlon Owens; sister, Earline Brackin; and three brothers, Theo, T.L. and Grady Jeffreys.
She is survived by her loving caregiver and grandson, Robert Owens; daughter-in-law, Lynn Owens; grandchildren, Ashley Owens and Angela Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ila Long, Irene Oliver and Melba Burney.
Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. in Roselawn Chapel with Steve Flippo and Scotty Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Lane, Wayne Brackin, Wyatt Oliver, Jay Burney, Marty Stewart and Ronnie Jeffreys.
