

Charles H. Phillips Jr. passed away at home surrounded by his family on January 18, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born in Brooklyn, NY where he attended school until graduating and enlisting in the United States Navy. After honorably fulfilling his duties, he then joined the New York City Police Department where he served faithfully for 21 years.
After retiring, he would later relocate to Poinciana, Florida where he thrived by volunteering countless hours for his favorite charity Fisher House in Orlando collecting money and donations for military families. He had many friends and was part of numerous clubs with his favorites being the Corvette and the Veterans club.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Charles and Christine and his sister Patricia Ryan. He is survived by his wife Madalyn of 53 years and his sons Charles (Patricia), Jared (Catherine), Ryan (Tara) and James (Michelle) along with his grandchildren Mackenzie, Kennedy (Tim Cooper), Ryan Jr, Grace, Lily, Jamie, Ethan (Cassidy) and Andrew. He is also survived by his sister Betty (John Kiernan) and brother in law John Ryan as well as many nieces and nephews.
We will be receiving family and friends at the Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral home on Deer Park Ave on Sunday 1/26/25 from 2-4 and 7-9. A mass will be held at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Deer Park on Monday 1/27/25 at 10:15 AM followed by burial at Long Island National Cemetery - Pinelawn.
