MEMORIES OF ERNIE, A COWORKER AT NORDEN SYSTEMS / NORTHROP GRUMMAN. HUGE HOCKEY FAN AND WELL RESPECTED GREAT GUY. WILL BE REMEMBERED FONDLY FOR THE TIME WE SHARED.

Ernie and  I were inseparable when I was really little.  He was 14 years older than me and took me every where. He gave me the nickname Buddy. He took me to Islanders Hockey games and baseball games.  I’m still a hockey nut to this day because of him. He also loved the Beatles so of course I love the Beatles. He was a family man like my dad. He and Jane raised two wonderful kids.  He will be greatly missed but I am comforted in knowing he is in paradise with my mom, dad, brother Tony and all our loved ones. Love you Ernie 

I have been in the Lucca  family most  of my life living across the street . Most recently Ernie and I became very close as he would put we have to love Marilyn 😍. I was the replacement for his sister Roe .   As kids he treated me like his sister beating me up like he would do in a loving way . Our  last conversation , right before he went for his surgery he come over to let me know  how he felt  He expressed that I was  a “unique “part of the family I will now treasure  that conversation always !!!!!     I wish I would told You  I loved you but I think you knew how I felt about you  ❤️ Rest In Peace I will miss you 😢 Marilyn

What can I say. Growing up we fought all of the time. Maybe because we were just a year apart but no matter what we loved each other. He was a sports nut. So much so at one point he wanted to be a sports announcer. He collected Puma sneakers. He said he wanted every new pair and I think he got close to achieving that! He loved the Beatles and the Islanders. I always loved when he and his family would come out to CA for Christmas. Those were special times. He flew out to surprise his buddy Tom for his 30th birthday. And speaking of Buddy, he was so excited when my youngest brother was born.  I watched the two of them create a special bond that lasted into adulthood. I knew back then that he would be a wonderful father. He loved and cared for his family very much. I will miss you Ern. I love you very much from your favorite sister of those that live in Torrance!

Ernie always welcomed me as his brother during our annual visits with his sense of humour, his passions, and his love of life. We will truly miss you.

Ernie was my oldest brother and one of the best man I have ever known. He was very loving. He loved his family. He was so passionate about so many things. He loved The New York Islanders and the Giants. He loved all things having to do with space and said he wanted to go to the moon. He was a true New Yorker. One time we read ‘The Who’s on First’ skit from Abbott and Costello and we laughed so hard we cried.  Half of my family moved to California but we visited each other often. Family means everything to us and I will forever have a hole in my heart and will miss you Ernie forever. I know we will see each other again one day. You are whole now and free from pain. That makes me happy but I am so sad for missing you. I love you so much.
