Dad, I love you more than life itself and I miss you more everyday. You are absolutely one in a million and you were the best dad in the whole world. We were so close. I'll never forget our talks, or the way you held me when I was upset. Or just the feeling of never having to worry because you were always there and as long as I had you nothing could go wrong. I hope you have seen your family up in heaven, I know you missed them. I hope you're rocking out to some ozzie and riding your bike also. And don't ever stop sending me signs letting me know your watching over me. Until we meet again dad, i love you so much and miss you so much. There is NO greater love.

I still pass by waiting to see you standing in the porch with your arm up..... I wish you could have met my Beautiful daughters.... I will always remember you and how you made me feel as a little girl always including me..As well as how much you all were there for my when I was having my first born Jonathan. Laurie, Jenn, Kim ,& Leigh you ladies are so  strong!!!! I Mean come on you all belonged to MR. JOHN. MAYER  I pray that your pain eases and your day become filled with four d me memories of laughter and not sadness..... I wish I could have been there I just wanted to respect everyone's wishes and not intrude ..... lots of love always

There never is a easy way to find words to write to give condolences to a family but as i think about how strong not only john was but how strong his family and friends are and it is because of that loving Mayer family strength that i see how even through these rough times they will always stay strong because they have a new angel watching over them so with that being said stay strong my prayers and condolences are being sent your way.

There's only so many angels that walk on earth before they get to return to heaven and John was definately one of them. He is everything anyone could ever hope for in a father and was a great man. It was truly an honor to know him. Laurie & girls I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. He has given you all a great gift and together you guys are unified even if you are apart in the physical world right now. He will always live in your hearts until the day you guys meet again. But I'm pretty sure that not even death can break a bond as strong as the one I have gotten the chance to see in this family.

I can only hope to meet a man as proud and strong as you, who can resemble such an extraordinary father figure to my children one day. You will always be the center of gravity for your girls no matter where you are. Rest in peace and enjoy watching over your beautiful family.

I am so lucky to have met such an amazing man who brought joy to so many. You will be missed by many but your memory will live on.

John was a great guy who always positively impacted the lives of others.  He was a loyal man and a man of his word.  It saddened me to see what he went through but in the end, god takes all good people.  I hope there is a Craigslist in heaven :)  Love you buddy.

John you will be missed so much by all of us and by so many people.  You are truly a an angel because of all the things you have done and how many people you've touched.  I remember how awesome and kind you were when I would come over the house with Kim after school.  We would joke around so much and always laugh.  I also remember those times when I was down and you were there and gave me advice.  You and your family were there for me.  I'll never forget all those memories because they will be in my heart. John was always such a happy and charismatic man. Everyday when he would come home from work the girls would run up to him and he would pick up each one and spin them around and embrace them in the biggest hug. He was a wonderful father and a great person. He will truly be missed. Rest in Paradise John.

John i am so sorry for all the pain and suffering you had to go through. You were brave and strong and you did fight for a long time. Now you are in heaven finally at peace with your mom, dad and brother.  You have so many people who love you and miss you and i hope you know how much of a huge positive impact you had on many. Words cannot express how deeply saddened i am but so very thankful to have had you as my cousin and to have been able to see you one last time. I know how much you loved your wife and daughters and your brothers & sisters because you told me how very important family was to you.

I only met John at my Godsons Wedding.  From the moment I met him I understood why his family loved him so much.  His desires to be there for all you should be remembered and he will be honored by all of you in everything you say and do.  My sympathies during this incredibly difficult time. I met John through my best friend Kim his wonderful daughter.  He was like a father to me.  Every time I went over to this beautiful families house we laughed and always joked around and John always made sure to tell me when I was doing something wrong or just give me advice.  He has such a big heart and was always kind.  I remember all the wonderful moments I've had with this beautiful family and there is no way John will ever be forgotten.  A man like him could never be forgotten.  The way he loved his wife and daughters and how kind and loving and high spirited he was, that's a person that just stays in your heart forever. You have touched our hearts in so many ways John.  May you Rest In Peace And know how much we all love you always.

I met John & Laurie through our children when they were in school. We became great friends. We went apart for awhile but as soon as we got back together it was so easy, like we never were apart. John has done so much for people, including me. He will never be forgotten. He is UNFORGETTABLE.He gave so much love to all. He was taken too soon but God needs him now. John was never afraid of hard work. Now he is an Angel and he will be watching over his wife & girls

I am so sorry for the passing of John. John was a terrific man. He loved his family and would always be there for them. John may have been taken by God too soon but his memory will never die. He was a very special man and we all loved him.

I remember when I first met John & Laurie. It was through our girls. John and Laurie put a rug in my moms apt and Laurie even vacuumed it and they wouldn't take money. We became great friends. Through the years we were apart for a bit but as soon as we got together it was so easy to be friends again. Just like old times. John had so much love for Laurie and his girls and his mother in law Sophie. He still found more love to give anyone who came into their home and lives.I will miss talking to John , he always had the answers. I know he was proud of how his family turned out and that made it easier for him to go.I love the Mayers. I will stay in Laurie and the girls life. John will always be remembered because he was so memorable.He now is going to be the perfect angel. He had alot of energy and he was never afraid of hard work. RIP John, love you and will continue to do walks for brain cancer and give donations so maybe one day it will help someone.You are so missed already by so many people from young kids to adults that lives you have touched I promise you I will help Laurie and the girls if they need me.
