John Simone Sr.

John Simone Sr., age 89, of Dix Hills, New York passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021. He worked hard his whole life as a contractor in the cement industry running a successful business. His pastimes included fishing, crabbing and walks in nature while bird watching. John loved his Sunday dinners where the family would gather around the table enjoying traditional Italian dishes he prepared with his "best in the world" gravy, made fresh with the tomatoes and basil he grew in his garden. He loved his kids, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but his #1 love was his wife, Rose Ann.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Ann, and loving children John Jr. (Barbara), Carl, Regina Prete and Richard (Shari). He was a devoted grandpa to six grandkids and four great-grandchildren. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation for John will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:45 AM at Our Lady Of Lourdes RC Church, 855 Carmans Rd, Massapequa Park, NY 11762 followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
