Joseph Francis Vogl, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deirdre “Dee” Vogl. Married for 38 years, Joe and Dee were true companions in every sense—partners in life, love, and travel. Together they enjoyed 19 cruises, hoping to make it 20 this year.
Joe is survived by Dee's daughter,Jennifer (Hal) Overman. Grandchildren Speight and Emily, who affectionately called him “Grumpy". As well as dear friend, Edward Polisi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe beat to his own drum and was generous to many, those he knew, as well as strangers. His compassion extended to animals as well; over the years, he shared his home with many cherished pets, each one a testament to his deep love for creatures great and small. In lieu of flowers, your donation to Bide-a-wee or the charity of your choice is requested.
Family and friends may gather Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home to follow in procession to his committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.
