

Nicholas and Patricia of Melville, NY and Cape Coral, FL passed on October 5, and October 8, 2022, at the ages of 83 and 82. Nicholas was born in 1939 to Guido and Lucy Cioffi in Wyandanch NY. He was one of twelve children and predeceased by his brothers and sisters Frank, Millie, Susie, Ralph, Madeline, Guy, Louie, Bobby, Angie, & Butchy. He is survived by his sister Bridgette. Patricia was born in 1940 to Charles and Agnes Kelly in Queens, NY. Patricia was one of two children and is predeceased by her brother James. Nicholas and Patricia are predeceased by their youngest son Kevin and survived by their oldest son Nicholas Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nicholas’ and Patricia’s love story began at a party where Nicholas asked Patricia to dance. Nicholas always remembered the skirt she was wearing. The high school sweethearts married on September 20, 1958, in Wyandanch and raised their family in Melville. Nicholas served in the Army National Guard as a mechanic and was a sharpshooter. Nicholas worked for over 35 years in the aerospace industry as a design engineer and then both he and Patricia worked in the Half Hollow School District, Nicholas as a custodian and Patricia as the administrator for the principle. Nicholas was very active at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal and St Andrews Catholic Church. After retirement Nicholas became very active with the Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree Knight and Faithful Navigator.
Nicholas and Patricia loved to travel to Boulder, CO to visit their son Nicky, go to the movies, Broadway shows, Atlantic City, and checking out new restaurants. Their love and generosity were never ending.
Nicholas and Patricia will be missed deeply by their son Nicky and all their nieces and nephews.
