Walter, May an angel’s chorus and horses with a chariot greet you in Heaven. You were humorous, kind, and you made everyone around you feel special. Your work was outstanding. I am so thankful because I had a chance to know the incredible person that you were. Your shoes can never be filled, you will always be remembered.

 I am sharing in the sadness as we all remember Walter. I'm Praying for the family during this difficult time. Walter provided so many great memories during his career at DTCC. I was blessed to work with Walter for many of them. It seems like yesterday that Wally, Jim H. and Jim P. were sitting talking sports, all else, and just having a blast. No area I ever worked in was so much fun. Walter made coming to work fun while still working hard and getting the job done. He was very very caring. He constantly checked in asking about my family. I am very sad - I will miss Wally.

I'd like to share my friendship w Wally. We became friends thru sports. Over 30 yrs we did fantasy football w other DP guys.
Recent years Wally & Joe the Show teamed up. 
Met fans all the way. Wally was a Giant fan but tailgated with BK & Jet fans many years. 1994 me & Wally hit the ultimate. Rangers win the Cup & we went to all playoff games Matteau Matteau Matteau!
Next year Wally coaches my son in John J McMahon Hockey League in DP. 8 years later we win in OT. Wally was John J McMahon Hockey.
Later years was horse racing. Wally's passion. He loved owning a small piece. Got him sweet parking, paddock access & friends in the business. I was lucky enough to make the winners circle w Wally & Hold That Prospect. Still have the picture above my desk.
Will miss doing a one-hitter in Miller's parking lot w my friend.

Walter was always one of the go to guys you could count on and always ready for a good time.

RIP my best friend.  You are not suffering or in pain anymore.  We’ve known each other for 50yrs and had some great memories.  I will miss our daily conversations about our Rangers and who do we like at Belmont for each race.  Till we meet again.  Luv ya brother ❤️🙏🙏😎

Getting together with the guys yesterday for the Kentucky Derby was not the same without you.  Every time I go to Belmont or Saratoga or we have a get together for the Breeder's Cup, I will always be thinking of you.  Rest in peace my friend, you will surely be missed.
