He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy Katz, his loving children Marlene Katz, Diane Katz, David (Dawn) Katz, Joni Katz, Sarah (Tommy) DeFrancia, Jacquelyn Katz, brother of Robert (Ahona) Katz and adoring grandchildren Brandon Feinstein, Rebecca (Jeff) Miller, Kyle Katz, Bella DeFrancia, Gabrielle Katz, Sophia Katz, Luke DeFrancia, Levi DeFrancia, Briana Katz, and Jordyn DeFrancia.

Harold's life was a success story that dreams are made of. He was a self made entrepreneur with many successful business endeavors and the founder of Nutri/System. Harold was an avid sports enthusiast who went on to proudly own the Philadelphia 76er's, and brought a championship to his birth city in 1983. Although he came from humble beginnings, Harold lived a large life and helped many through his deep commitment to philanthropy. The most important accomplishment of his lifetime was his family.

Harold was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend of many. Through his life he was accompanied by the dogs he rescued. He will be remembered forever and always have a place in our hearts.

He will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by his family, friends, and community.

A private family service will be held to honor the life of Harold Katz.
