Suglio, Lillian (Lil) (Babe) 87, of Boca Raton and formerly Cleveland, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 26th, 2019, surrounded by family at Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. Lillian was born on January 12th, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Joseph and Mamie (Wutrich) Egna and graduated from Rhodes High School in 1950. She met Anthony N Suglio, the love of her life, at a picnic. They were wed in 1950 and celebrated many anniversaries until his passing in 2003.
Lillian was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in West Boca Raton and attended many of her grandchildren’s sacraments there. She owned her own cleaning service for over 40 years. She showed boundless energy, and enjoyed cooking her delicious Italian dishes for the whole family. She loved reading and could finish a book in a day or two, as she sat outside enjoying the fresh Florida air.
Family was her number one priority and she was extraordinarily generous in providing for her children with a loving home and every opportunity for success and happiness. Lillian would sometimes say she did not know how they raised five children so close in age. She would say, “I would go to the grocery store pregnant, with one kid in the shopping cart, one kid on my hip and the other two holding on to my dress.” She was very proud that all of her children turned out so well.
Lillian was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony in 2003. Son Joseph in 2012. Brothers George, Nick, John and sister Pearl.
Loving mother of Vito (Silvia), Andrew (Leonora), Joseph (deceased 2012), Philomena (Kurt) Andress, John (Hanne).
