

Mrs. Winifred “Winnie” Brown, age 96, born in Medford MA, and a resident of Coconut Creek, FL for the past 17 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 after a brief illness. Winifred was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold “Brownie” Brown, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Winnie was kind hearted and loved spending time with her family especially for large holiday events. She had many talents and hobbies as well as a fabulous sense of humor. She was an expert at intricate ceramics, crocheting beautiful blankets for every new grandchild, solving complex puzzles, always winning Scrabble and enjoying a large lobster. She also enjoyed traveling; her most recent adventures were to Napa Valley, Scotland and to New England.
Winifred is survived by her brother Richard Lynch and grandniece Mary Macrae of SC, and sister-in-law Ruthie Perry of NC. Her 5 children; Harold Brown and his wife Frances of Sugar Land, TX, Elaine Harrington and her husband Gerald of Coconut Creek, FL, Nancy Enos of Medford, MA, Elizabeth “Betty” MacNeil and her husband Richard of Malden, MA and Warren Brown and his wife Christine of Stoneham, MA.
Also, Winnie was a beloved Nana to her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; Tracy Harrington-Dickson and her husband Tom and children Lauren, Kyle, and Kevin of Lafayette, CA, Jeffrey Harrington and his wife Christine, sons Calvin and Camden of Bailey, CO, Dennis MacNeil of Revere, MA, Caroline Brown of Austin, TX, Michael Brown and his wife Melissa and children Michael and Baylor of Missouri City, TX, Jeremy MacNeil and his wife Grace and sons Cody and Dylan of Belmont, MA, Ryan Brown and his wife Heather and sons Preston and Carson of Windham, ME, Nicholas MacNeil and partner Lindsey MacLean and son Jaxx of Melrose, MA and Gerard MacNeil of Saugus, MA, Kelly Brown of Boston, MA and Gary Enos and his wife Alicia of Medford, MA and son Brayden of Medford MA.
