Andrew Levi Rowell, Sr., 71, passed away on December 2, 2016. He was born on May 15, 1945 in Pauls Valley, OK to Elifus Wilburn and Mary Ruth (Wimppie) Rowell, Sr. Andrew drove a truck for years and ended his 25 year career with the City of Del City’s Sanitation Department. Andrew was a very generous and loving man and could often be found putting his neighbor’s newspapers on their porch or taking their trash cans to the curb. Andrew enjoyed camping trips to Lake Thunderbird with his family and watching Walker Texas Ranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Andrew Levi Rowell, Jr.; five grandchildren and five siblings. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Anna; children, Rose Jones (Jeff), Timothy Leffingwell (Maribelle), Loretta Webb, Johnathan Leffingwell (Peggy Geist), Shelly Back (Jeff), Jimmy Rowell (Jolynn), LeeAnn Hillery (John), Anna Rowell II; 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Alice, Vickie, Ruth Ann and Jimmy. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
