She graduated from The Oklahoma Baptist School of Nursing in Muskogee, OK in 1951. She spent forty years in nursing. As she would say “I’ve been a nurse for 40 years”. She retired from O’Donohue Rehabilitation Institute in 1992.
Her love of music and playing the piano began when she was three years old. She was active in the music department of every church she attended and enjoyed many years as a member of the Prime Time Choir at Village Baptist Church.
From the beginning to the end of her life, Angela showed the strength of her pioneer heritage and deep enduring faith. She had an upbeat attitude; a strong will and character.
She was preceded to eternal life by her parents Charles L. and Delia Gregory; three brothers, James, Charles, and John Gregory; one sister Laura Ellen Fitzgerald; her husbands, William I. Collins, an attorney with the US Navy Dept. until 1974, and Kelly R. Fogarty in 1993.
She is survived by her three children, Deborah Collins of Oklahoma City, Melinda Ulmer and husband James of Moore, OK, and Gregory Collins of Norman. Her brother Robert A. Gregory of Oklahoma City. Two grandchildren, Steve Ulmer and wife Stephanie; and Dani Davis and husband Daniel.
Visitation for Angela will be from 5-8pm Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Funeral services will be at 2pm Thursday, Feb. 22 at Bill Eisenhour, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, OK.
