After a courageous battle with cancer, Arvel was called home by his Lord God whom he served faithfully as both a teacher and elder. Arvel was born to Clyde and Opal Sloan in Hess, Oklahoma, 76 years ago. He worked for A&A Trucking as Vice President retiring in 2003. He honorably served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Ann, for 52 years. They had four children; Greg, Mark his wife Frances, Kevin his wife Ginger, and Becky her husband Frank Aufiero. He had 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his brothers Bill, Jerry, and Jim and he has many other family members and friends that he dearly loved. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9 2011 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del-City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10 2011 at Southwest Church of Christ Oklahoma City, OK.
