

Betty Louise Beavers “Nana” of Del City was called home January 29, 2021. She began her journey June 30, 1935 in Portville, New York. She moved to Oklahoma as a young woman, despite having no family here she decided to stay and create a life of her own. She started her career at Tinker Air Force Base where she would meet and fall in love with her husband of 55 years George Beavers and they started their family. Together they travelled, making memories and lifelong friends everywhere along the way. Betty was known for her warm and welcoming nature and for making everyone feel like family. Everyone that knew her would say that she never met a stranger.
She is reunited with her loving (ornery) husband G.K. “Pappy” Beavers. She’s also preceded in death by their son Kenneth Scott, parents Alfred and Hazel Anderson, and sisters Doris Krist and Francis Holcomb.
Survivors include daughter Kendra and husband Russell Vaughan of El Reno, OK; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons, Kayleigh and husband Jacob Schuchardt and son Rhyatt of El Reno, OK and Kodi and husband Taylor Rackley and son Callan of Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooners in any and all sports, especially football. She was always incredibly close with her daughter and granddaughters, and cherished every moment spent with them and her great grandsons. She will be remembered by her kind spirit and her contagious smile.
