Betty “Betsy” Jo Brown passed away on July 1, 2021 at the age of 86, after a long battle with dementia. She was surrounded by her family listening to bluegrass music. She was born Betty Jo Kemp on February 5, 1935 to Julius and Jennie Kemp. She married Bill Brown on February 28, 1953. They had 3 children together, Tommy, Jimmy, and Sheri. She worked for Western Electric for 30 years and retired in 1991. Betty was an avid seamstress and had a love of quilting. During Bill and Betty’s 68 years of marriage they shared a love for bluegrass music and enjoyed traveling to bluegrass festivals with her good friend Betty Wallace. Betty loved her family and enjoyed having them over on Sundays. She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Sheri Belusko and husband Greg, daughter in law Kim Brown, brother-in-law JW Brown and wife Jo Brown. Grandchildren Jon Johnson and wife Sharon, Andrea Wellman and husband Jeff, Wesley Belusko, Jamie Roberts and husband Jake. Great Grandchildren Blake, Abigail, and Jolie. She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Tommy and Jimmy, and sister Mary Swindle.
