

Beulah Maxine Miller Ball of Del City, 95, passed away Friday night after a short illness. Mrs. Ball was born January 3, 1917 to Claude and Goldie Miller in Tabor, Iowa. She married Howard Ball in 1937, a union that spanned 64-1/4 years until his death in 2001. They followed the oil field in Kansas and Oklahoma; Howard retired from the oilfield following a serious accident. They later operated a laundry in Ada before settling with their two daughters in Del City in 1951. She was a homemaker and worked in retail sales at several Oklahoma City department stores. Following her husband’s retirement from Tinker Air Force Base, Mrs. Ball enjoyed spending summers camping with friends and family in Kansas and Oklahoma at state parks. Mrs. Ball is survived by her sister, Opal Johnson of Prattville; daughters Sue Vaughan of Houston, TX, and Ann McCarville of Midwest City and her husband, Mike; granddaughters Debbie Shubert of Kemp, TX, Cindy Sims and Skye Medina of Houston, Shelli Aliff of Newalla and husband Howard, Cheryl Anderson of Midwest City, grandson Ronnie Vaughan of Houston; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Ball’s life will be held by her family and friends at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Southeast Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Southeast.
