Billie Sue Kersey, age 64, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007, following a brief illness. She was born October 18th, 1942, in the town of Timbo, Arkansas, to the late Herman Martin and Enda Marie Rose. On February 14th, 1980, she was united in marriage to Willard M. Kersey in Wichita, Kansas. Billie is survived by her husband, Willard M. Kersey, daughter Candice Gateley, daughter Tammey and her husband John Covey, daughter Cynthia and her husband Ronney Sloan, daughter Teresa Dunkel, daughter Gayann Lavick, and son Randy Kersey; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; also six sisters, Linda, Sherry, Rose, Betty, Jamie and Cindy; two furry children Hooch and Smudge. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Billie was outgoing, caring and understanding. Her passion was to give back and to make a difference. She achieved her goal and changed the world for the better as a result of the way she lived her life. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a good wife, mother and friend who strove and succeeded to be and do good in every facet of her life. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel.
