

Billye Rae Bohn was born on May 3,1937 to Bill and Rubye Calfee in Valiant,Oklahoma. She had an older sister named Shirley. She attended Crooked Oak High School. She got her first job at Katt’s Drug Store and there got her nickname “Kitty”. There she met a Navy man named Earl Rauch and she later married him. Very soon Billye was barely eighteen, newly married, and expecting her first child. Bonita was born in Cuba in 1955. After the Navy, they moved home to Midwest City, Oklahoma and bought a service station. Jud was born in 1957 and Lou Ann in 1962. Earl’s job took the family to St.Louis, Missouri, Newburgh, Indiana, and Mattoon, Illinois.
While in Newburgh, Billye took classes to become a medical tech. She had a natural gift as a selfless caregiver. After a divorce, Billye returned to her beloved parents. Billye remarried Rex Bohn and they moved to Texas. Rex opened a plumbing business and Billye went to work at a hospital as a patient advocate. Rex was a severe diabetic and Billye did dialysis at home for him. When her Mom had a minor stroke, Billye and Rex moved to Midwest City to be near them. She took a job at Presbyterian Hospital as an emergency room coordinator.
Rex passed away in 1999. Grammy passed in 2000 and she moved Pap-pa into her house. Pap-pa passed away in 2001. At this time, Billye focused on her beloved pets and church. Billye loved all animals and has a legacy in that with all of her children. She was especially fond of her Chihuahuas and her cat. She taught Sunday School and loved studying her Bible. She enjoyed OU Football with a passion. She took a part time job at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home where she loved ministering to families. Billye was a fierce mother and friend. After a serious car accident in 2012 Billye needed extra care. Lou Ann cared for her until 2019 when she moved to Cincinnati to stay with Bonnie and her honorary daughter, Celest. She moved into The Glen where she was spoiled and loved until her passing.
Billye was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Bohn, her parents, Bill and Rubye Calfee, her brother-in-law, Lewis Sharp, and her sister, Shirley Sharp. She is survived by her three children Bonnie Bohn, Jud Rauch, and Lou Ann Ellis. She was blessed in life to have two honorary daughters born out of love and service, Celest Yuskewich and Dee Dee Lennox. She will be greatly missed by their families and many, many friends.
