

Brenda Jean Rodgers Foster, 54, left us unexpectedly Jan. 22, 2014. She is now pain free in the presence of her Savior. The youngest sister of six siblings, Brenda was born November 27, 1959 in Oklahoma City.
In 1978, she met Earl (Rick) Foster in April, graduated from Douglass High School in May and married Rick in October. The happy couple, who make their home in Midwest City, celebrated a renewal of their vows and the addition of an adopted son, Drake, 25 years later.
Preceded in death by her birth mother, Nettie Mae Locke and her step-father, Haskell Smith, she leaves behind her husband, Rick, and son, Drake, of the home; five siblings: Lee Simons (wife, Joyce) of Moore, Bonnie Thompson of Ft Smith, AR, Barbara Burley (husband, James) and Betty Coston, both of Midwest City, and Bill Rodgers (wife, Etta) of Del City; many nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews; her step-mother., Audrey Smith and step-brother, Haskell Smith (wife, Karen) of Shawnee, OK.
She was always very giving and generous. Her favorite gifts were baby blankets, angels, and ornaments she crocheted for as gifts for friends and family and the arrival of their newborn babies. She also loved her dogs over the years including the current ones: Angel, Polly and puppy Achilles.
Brenda, Rick and Drake are members of First Baptist Church, Midwest City. Memorial services are there at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, with burial following at Arlington Memory Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bill Eisenhower SE. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Midwest City Music Department or general fund.
