From all the work she endured at the cerebral palsy center in Norman, Oklahoma, she was able to walk on her own with use of canes. She had the support of all her family and friends during this trying time. Brenda shortly thereafter started work at TAFB, where she worked for 35 years as a procurement technician. She loved to bring smiles to people around her she loved so many things in life; being surrounded by family and friends, sewing, embroidering, knitting, her dogs, Niki, a white poodle, Tuffy a miniature poodle, Pepe, toy poodle, Dinozzo, dachshund. Brenda loved trips to the lake. Her father one time got her on a set of skies and tubes. Fishing at Lake Texoma where she went on several guided fishing trips. Her favorite one being when most of the relatives went along and had to hire three boats to hold everyone. Brenda enjoyed the lake properties at Lake Eufaula. Brenda and I set lines, as the boat drifted in the night and were so surprised the next morning, as there were several fish on them. Her mother bought property at Brush Hills Village, with two mobile homes and a dock, which was so great for Brenda, because she was able to walk out to the dock and get on the pontoon, and away she went. From her favorite board game Monopoly, she had an extensive collection of themes such as the Grinch, Rudoh, Indiana Jones. Brenda dressed up in different Halloween costumes and her co-workers many times would join the theme.
