It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlin Lee Perry-Nevel (CL) a loving mother, a remarkable woman, and a dedicated professional in the field of Nursing. Carlin's courageous battle with heart failure came to an end on 1/29/2026; CL was 61 years old.
Carlin's nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her husband David Nevel ( Dave), her fur puppies; Roxie, Taz, and Bella, her daughter Amanda Jette, son-in-law Beau Jette, grandchildren Joseph, Braxton, JR, and Michael, her daughter Shauna Young, son-in-law Justin Jones, and grandchildren Jazmine, Amelyah, Symphonie, Jaxon, and AJ, her daughter Frances White, son-in-law Linden White, and granddaughter Sophia, her daughter Margaret Perry and grand fur babies, 7 dogs; Shiloh, Princess, Shadow, Lilly, Blu, Mr. Freckles, and Bear, her 5 grand cats; Tigger, Tony, Panther, Minnie, and Winnie. CL is also survived by her younger sister Jillian Miranda.
Carlin didn’t just walk into the room- she arrived. With a sparkle in her eye and a comeback always at the ready, she had a knack for making life more interesting for everyone around her. She was equal parts sass and sweetness, the kind of person who could make you laugh until you cried, then handed you a tissue and told you to toughen up. She lived unapologetically, loved fiercely, and left us with enough stories to keep us laughing for years to come.
If Heaven has a karaoke night, she’s already signed up for the first song. If heaven has animals, she will not be separated and will be beloved by all, even snakes and reptiles; she had a love for all creatures, never feared them, and lived fearlessly. If heaven has a dance floor, you better believe she will be on it. If heaven has the best view of the ocean and sunsets, she will have the best pictures to capture.
CL became a nurse in 1999. She absolutely loved every second of it. She dedicated most of her career to Interim Health Care, who served the home health and hospice population. CL would always bring comfort and peace to those whose lives she touched. CL also had a unique rapport building style that came in handy when dealing with those who were incredibly stubborn and didn’t want her help, but it wouldn’t be too long before; those were the patients that loved and cherished her the most. Throughout CL’s nursing career she also helped those who were experiencing difficult moments in their lives that led to incarceration; she worked at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center and Oklahoma County Detention Center. CL had an intensity for wanting to be challenged, and she sure was, but she had the biggest heart for her patients and passion that kept her going for over 25 years.
Carlin married her husband Dave in 2020. The two of them experienced so much love, joy, and adventure together. They both shared a love for nature and dream of living “off-grid”, a calm and quiet lifestyle with many chickens, and fur babies. Carlin was able to spend the last years of her life happily and fulfilled with Dave.
In our hearts Carlin lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact with everyone whom she met.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at Bill Eisenhour at Sunny Lane, located at 4000 SE 29th St., Del City, Oklahoma, 73115.
