Chuck peacefully passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 66, in OKC, after a long illness.
He was born on January 27, 1959, in Washington DC, to Bob and Irene Lambert. As an Air Force ‘brat’, Chuck resided in Washington DC, New Hampshire, Okinawa, Germany and then settling in Del City, OK in 1972.
In January 1974, at the age of 14, he attained the Boy Scouts’ highest honor of Lifetime Eagle Scout Medal and Rank, receiving this honor at the OK State Capitol from Governor David Boren.
Chuck graduated from Del City High School in 1977, with an interest in auto mechanics and woodworking. Upon graduation, he pursued schooling in photography, specializing in nature & architecture.
Over the next several years he worked as a heavy metal fabricator at BC Steel Buildings and Carlon; the family screen printing business at Artisan House of Decals; repaired computer hard drives at Seagate Technologies; bridge and concrete construction, general construction, heavy equipment operator/tech, and truck driver at OK Paving, Abercrombie & Sons, Muskogee Bridge, MJ Lee Construction, and Dolese. In 2000, he joined Rainbow Service Company as a tanker driver and assisted as Scheduler & Dispatcher for the oilfield disposal, until his untimely retirement in January 2019, due to health. As a result, Chuck gained a multitude of skills including auto, truck & machine mechanics, welding, soldering, graphic arts and computers.
On Feb 10, 1996, Chuck married the love of his life, Diana Haskett Perkins, and her son, Clay and her daughter, Mical, at Sunnylane So. Baptist Church, Del City, OK.
In his spare time, he continued his love of photography and fishing. Woodworking led him to making small furniture, cribbage boards, game cases, boxes, to name a few; and even a wooden Harley rocking motorcycle for his grandson, and of course, anything for his bride. Then wood turning took a hold! The lathe became his favorite tool, making exotic wood or colorful acrylic ink pens & pencils, perfume bottles, a spurtle, plumb bobs, etc., for friends and family. There is not a tool he has never met!
He enjoyed collecting model cars, anything Harley Davidson, and thanks to Diana, he grew to love reading, particularly William W. Johnstone books. Who’d ever think Chuck would enjoy reading! He was a loyal New England Patriots and an OU fan.
He was always willing to help family and friends with anything they needed! And, always witty, whether funny or inappropriate, and in all occasions. Chuck volunteered diligently at the Will Rogers World Airport at the Military Welcome Center, and in our father’s Military Spirit Medal Program for high school seniors entering the military.
But his passion was for his orange 1993 Harley Davidson Sportster and the winding roads. As a Life Long Member of the Harley Owners Group, Central Oklahoma Hog Chapter 1, he served as Primary Training Officer. Chuck & Diana both participated in fundraisers and rallies, and rode in as many bike runs as time would afford. He made sure that family all got to ride on the back.
Following the acceptance of the hope and assurance of salvation through Christ Jesus alone, Chuck was baptized in 2024, at Cornerstone Church, of Midwest City.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Lambert of Del City, in 2021; his beloved wife, Diana of Teague, TX, in 2022, and her son Clay, of Australia, in 2016; several aunts & uncles; and his precious dogs.
Chuck is survived by his father, Bob Lambert, of Del City; sister, Lori Payne and husband John, of OKC City; brother, Mike Lambert and his wife Michele, of Rogers, AR; 2 nephews, David Payne and wife Kelsey, of Moore, OK, and Aaron Payne, of Moore, OK; 4 nieces, Rachel Young and husband Jonathan, of Harrah, OK; Stormy & Brooklyn, of Rogers, AR, and Brittnee, of Watonga, OK; great nephews, Colson and Atlas, of Harrah, OK, and Jackson and Jay, of Rogers, AR; step-daughter Mical Sigle and husband Landis; 2 grandchildren, Lachlan and Avery Sigle; and life-long best friend, Gary Bellar.
