Charles "Charlie" C. Toy

Charles C. “Charlie” Toy of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on September 7, 2025. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on April 4, 1948 to parents Calvin Coolidge Toy and Lucille Mae (Glidewell) Toy. Some time after he was born, the family moved to Del City, OK, and Charlie grew up there and graduated from Del City High School. After high school, Charlie joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969 with the 1st Cavalry 7th Regiment, Company B.

Charlie was a man who worked hard and loved his family. He married his wife, Kathleen A. Toy, on October 25, 2001. In the late 80’s, he served at American Legion Commander. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Lucille; and brother Calvin Dean Toy (wife Sue) of Del City, OK.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Toy; children, Jennifer Alvey (husband Steve) of Moore, OK and Christopher Toy (wife Holly) of Tuttle, OK; step-children Jeremy McGinty of Norman, OK and Melissa McGinty of Oklahoma City, OK; brother Clayton “Gene” Eugene Toy (wife Nancy) of Del City, OK; sister Charrie Stump (husband Mark) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Charlie will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
